On the afternoon of February 14th, a delegation of five people led by Ms. Cynthia Dodge, Director of the Springfield sister-city Association as well as the chairman of the Jining City Partnership Committee, and Ms. Jenny Kane, Standing Member of the Springfield sister-city Association visited our hospital. Vice-president Shen Yanjin, Secretary Li Li of the Office of Jining Overseas Chinese Affairs, and Deputy Director Ruan Linjing of the Office of Jining Overseas Chinese Affairs and other comrades in charge of the International Education department of our college warmly received the guests at the conference room on the 7th floor.
Vice President Shen Yanjin expressed his warm welcome to Ms. Cynthia Dodge on his visit and briefly introduced the history and current situation of the development of Shandong Polytechnic College and the international cooperation and exchanges carried out in recent years, hoping to take the opportunity to expand the exchanges and cooperation with colleges and universities from Springfield, IL.
Ms. Cynthia Dodge thanked the College for their warm hospitality and meticulous arrangements. She said that she had been working hard to build a platform for cooperation and exchange between Springfield and Jining City. This visit to Shandong Polytechnic College will deepen her understanding of the situation of vocational education in Jining City. She hopes that the two sides work together in the future to further expand the field of cooperation and have closer contact.
After the meeting, guests visited our college students incubator base, non-material heritage education development base and practical training centers of the department of mechanical and electrical engineering, department of automotive engineering, department of aviation and navigation, as well as photovoltaic power generation sites. They had a deep impression of Jining’s long history and its deep culture, and they also highly praise our internship training places as well as a wide range of educational activities. These fully embody that the technical skills are the basis of the students and teaching with practice is the spirit of vocational education.
